AI-powered image and video generation is already a reality – and it’s here to stay. The current debate swings between excessive hype and outright rejection. But as so often, the truth lies somewhere in between: artificial intelligence is a tool. Used correctly, it can make work easier. Used irresponsibly, it can cause harm. It’s up to us to use it responsibly, sustainably, and ethically.
AI is already providing new solutions in areas where real-world productions have always raised difficult questions – for example, when working with children or animals. Beyond that, AI also enables visually striking project concepts that are both fast and tailored to specific needs.
As a creative, I don’t see AI-generated images and videos as a threat, but as an opportunity. Not to help corporations cut budgets, but to give smaller projects greater visual impact. And always with ethics in mind.
The eye-catchers of the coming years will increasingly be AI-generated. I offer my creative service with AI tools just as much as I do traditional, handcrafted visuals. In the future we’re already living in, there’s room for both.
